Hi there! I’m Megan. I’m a 30-something based in St. Louis, Missouri. When I’m not scouring this city for forgotten pieces to breathe new life into, I can be found hanging with my senior pup Calvin (as in Calvin Klein, not the bud to Hobbes), or diving into a good book, or enjoying a glass of wine on my teeny tiny back patio with the pup at my feet. I’ve been an avid vintage-lover and recycler for as long as I can remember, so saving pieces from landfills and giving them a second life brings me a ton of pure JOY. Vintage thrifting is my absolute favorite weekend activity & I hunt for gems constantly.
Currently I work for a historic preservation property management company in St. Louis, but I have worn many different hats over the years. I graduated college with a degree in Magazine Journalism so please excuse any long-winded written soliloquies. If you want to discuss the controversy of the Oxford Comma, I’m your gal!
I am very lucky to have met many amazing people who came into my world to buy a piece I refreshed or refinished. I still get a real childlike wonder kick out of seeing how happy people are to bring these pieces into their homes and I hope I never lose that. So if you didn’t know me, now you sorta, kinda do. Drop me a line on the message page if you want to say hello or just want to chat
I have been recycling everything I could get my hands on and secondhand thrifting my wardrobe long before it was trendy. There have been amazing finds along the way, but mainly the joy is in the hunt as you never know what you will discover in someone else's discarded goods! If the vintage Oscar de la Renta red blazer I thrifted and owned for many years is reading, please forgive me for ever re-donating you and know I think about you often.
Repurposing has always come naturally to me and been a very big motivator in my day-to-day, so seeking to refresh and refinish vintage pieces that need a whole bunch of TLC to shine again was a no-brainer. I use salvaged material where I can and always try to preserve the history of the time period a piece came from while also modernizing it for everyday living and to hold up for years to come.
Do you have a furniture piece in your home that is looking a little tired or outdated? If it needs a refresh I can help! I’ll take your vision of what you want the “after” effect to be on your beloved piece and create a second life for it. All you need to do is select the color, style (distressed, modern) and new hardware details and I’ll handle the rest! Shoot me a message and we can talk further about giving furniture you already own a much-needed makeover.
